El Recuerdo de Oaxaca con Gusano is made with agave Espadin. This mezcal is not made at a traditional palenque, but instead at the largest, most modern distillery in all of Oaxaca. This distillery's goal is to "create the cleanest mezcal ever produced," using the most modern technology, machinery, and tequila-like production methods. The "con Gusano" in this refers to the fact that it has worms in the bottle.
