Crafted at La Alte_a Distillery the El Tesoro Reposado was made in the same way founder Don Felipe Camarena did over 80 years ago. The result is a delectable and invigorating spirit that can be enjoyed on its own or used to take your cocktails to a whole another level.Made with 100% Camarena estate-grown blue weber agave the heart of the plant is first cooked in old-fashioned ovens before being crushed by a two-ton volcanic tahona stone. The aguamiel or agave juice is then distilled before being aged in ex-bourbon barrels for 9 to 11 months much longer than the legally required minimum of 2 months as in the case of most reposado tequilas.
